MEMORIES gather fragments of an unreachable past. A family I am no longer part of. I was a stepmother, and now I am not.

Through intimate and raw imagery, these black-and-white images hold the tender, ordinary moments of that chapter and the bittersweet ache of its ending.

Each frame is a window into a love that was real, and into a role that has no name once it ends.

It is an invitation to reflect on the beauty and complexity of love, connection, loss, and access: who gets to stay in a child's life, and what remains when you don't.
